Savitribai Phule Mahila Ekatma Samaj Mandal  believes that proper management of 'Jan-Jai-Jameen-Jungle-Jaanwar' can resolve a lot of livelihood issues. The Marathawada region of Maharashtra is famous for its drought hit terrain and over the years has witnessed the highest farmer suicides. Keeping in mind the need of the region we have started multiple water-shed and micro-irrigation projects that have led to farmers seeing more than 100% increase in their produce. Loans for drip irrigation and agricultural extension activities are offered to the farmers. Locals are trained in Veterinary medicine to reduce mortality rates of cattle and as a result of all this innovation mass migration to cities have been stopped and youngsters are now looking upon farming as a health livelihood option.
