Department of obstetrics and gynecology is one of the departments in Dr Hedgewar hospital which is working for the reproductive and gynecological health of women.

Vaginal and operative deliveries and all kinds of gynecological surgeries, minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgeries are performed here. The department runs special clinics for antenatal patients with special guidance by dietician and physiotherapist. The department has started a super specialized I.V.F. (In-vitro Fertilization) unit which provides best of fertility services to our infertile couples, with a fully equipped and standardized laboratory. The department is also offering antenatal care and contraceptive counseling to the socioeconomically deprived females by running three different peripheral health care Centre's in the slum areas of the city

The department is working hard to give best possible care to the patient to have a healthy baby with a healthy mother as a final product. The department, as well aimsto perform the gynecological surgeries under standardized protocols in operation theatre with uneventful post-operative period and a speedy recovery
